Matched scallop pairs, one side as a "flat" and the other half being a scallop deep or cup. Ideal for event and promo decor.


Shell size: Shells are between 10 to 12 cm across.

Natural , selected, UK Sourced and pink/brown. Surprisingly the shells have one side as a "flat" and the other half being a scallop deep or cup.

The shell halves are matched pairs, however the hinge has been sea-washed scallop shells in shades of pearlised white broken when removing the scallop meat. Each half has been "sea washed" but not cleaned to food standards.

Our clients have used these shells as a table centre, event and promo decor.

Scallop Shells in History: The scallop shell is the traditional emblem of Saint James. Medieval Christians making the pilgrimage to the apostle's shrine at Santiago de Compostela in Spain carried a scallop shell and would present themselves at churches, castles, abbeys etc. where they could expect to be given as much sustenance as could be picked up with one scoop.
